Arthur W Golden: US Navy (Ret.) born October 7th, 1945 in Attleboro, MA, died on March 28th, 2021 in Lady Lake, FL surrounded by his family. Arthur was the son of Francis and Elizabeth Golden. He was predeceased by his brothers Frank Golden and Bob Golden. He is survived by his brother, Martin Golden (South Portland, ME.) Arthur graduated high school at North Attleboro High. He would later achieve a Bachelor of Science from Daniel Webster College in business administration.
Arthur has five surviving children: Beth Golden (Portland, ME) Tracy Golden (Brooklyn, NY) Ann Golden (Hanover, MA) Ryan Golden (Redondo Beach, CA) and Joshua Golden (Carlsbad, CA) along with two daughters-in-law Meghan Golden and Alyssa Golden.
He spent most of his adult life in New Hampshire as a restauranteur, managing several locations, overseeing expansions of food services to the area's residents.
Arthur most enjoyed watching his children playing sports, advancing in academics, and ultimately giving him multiple grandchildren, Brittany Golden (Portland, ME) Hannah DeRice, Meghan DeRice, and Tyler DeRice (Hanover, MA.) Wesley Golden and McKenna Golden (Redondo Beach, CA.) and one great grandchild Noah Spiller (Portland, ME.)
Arthur retired as a Chief Petty Officer Third Class in the US Navy where he was stationed along San Diego, CA, Long Beach, CA and Honolulu, HI during the Vietnam War in which he earned The National Defense Medal, and The Vietnam Service Medal during his time in the service.
Ceremonial burial with full veteran memorial honors will take place at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in the name of Arthur to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. Please donate at www.cfsrf.org
