Lieutenant Colonel Armond "Cyrill" Proctor, age 88 of California, Maryland passed away on August 19, 2022 at MedStar St Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland.
Born in Charles County, Maryland on October 16,1933, to the late Herman and Mabel Proctor. He was a loving husband of 66 years to Lois Ann Hopson. Together they raised three children: Terry, Mark and Marsha. Cyrill was preceded in death by his brother David.
Cyrill graduated Alpha Phi Alpha from University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He entered the U.S. Air Force on July 28, 1956 as a commissioned officer until he retired on November 30, 1980. During his time of service he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with Three Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
He is survived by his wife Lois, children Terry (Michelle), Mark (Debbie), and Marsha (Ha), grandchildren, Jacob, Sierra, Arika, Alex and Michael, great grandchildren, Quinna and Dallas, brothers, Steve (Carolyn) and Dilworth (Edna), sister-in-law Irene and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cyrill will be remembered and honored on September 1, 2022, viewing at 12 pm followed by mass at 1 pm with both being held at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Upper Marlboro, MD. Interment immediately following the service at Cheltenham Veteran Cemetery.
