SOUTH RIVER, ARMANDO "JORGE" RIBAU, passed away tragically on Monday, May 30, 2022 in Sayreville. He was 53.
Born and raised in Gafanha da Nazaré, Portugal, he immigrated to the United States in 1984, residing in South River for 38 years.
Armando was employed as a Steel Worker for CMC Steel in Sayreville.
Armando was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his two sons, taking them to the Red Bulls games, trips to Sandy Hook, and Long Branch beach. He enjoyed "Soccer Sundays" with his boys and following the Portuguese National Soccer Team. He was a dedicated worker who always provided for his family.
He is survived by his two sons, Marcus and fiancé, Ashley Ferreira, of South River; and Lucas of Sayreville; his parents, Albino and Maria (Santos), of Portugal; his brother, Pedro, and wife, Sandra, of South River; his sister, Ana Lúcia, of Portugal; and his former wife, Donna (Dzieciol) Ribau, of Sayreville.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 2 pm -6 pm, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 9:15 am, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary RC Church, South River. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
