Arline M. (Kingsbury) Dorozynski, 101, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Born in Watertown on January 12, 1921, she was the daughter of Thomas and Marguerite (Van Kleek) Kingsbury. Arline and her family came to Utica at an early age. She was a graduate of New York Mills High School and Utica School for Practical Nurses. On July 17, 1940, Arline married John F. Dorozynski in Westminster Presbyterian Church. They shared a blessed union of 61 years, prior to his passing on August 13, 2001. Arline was an LPN at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
Surviving Arline are her four grandsons, Christopher (Christine DeAngelo) Dorozynski, Ilion, Eric Dorozynski, Marcy, Kevin ( Nicole Wurz) Dorozynski, Utica, and John Davies; two granddaughters, Becky (Brian) Leighton, FL, and Tammy Oaks, Woodgate; daughters-in-law, Virginia Dorozynski and Kathleen McGuire, and 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her only son, Stephen who passed away on September 25, 2001; sister, Bea Grizzanto; brother, Warren Russell Kingsbury; 2 half-sisters, Chastina Stencel and Frances Horn; half-brother, Warren Harrison; and her special friend, Daisy Czyscon.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Paul and Kathy McGuire for the care, compassion, and many acts of kindness over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Surridge & Roberts Funeral Home, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 12:00 p.m. officiated by her long- time friend, Pastor Mark. The family invites all in attendance to join them at Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton, where Arline will then be laid to rest with her husband and son.
Remembrances in Arline's name may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
