Arlene Louise (Donaldson) Wozna, 84, of Holland Patent, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her home, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on July 23, 1938 in Saranac Lake, NY, the daughter of Clifford and Mary Louise (LaBounty) Donaldson, Sr. Arlene was a 1956 graduate of Saranac Lake High School and furthered her education at Faxton Hospital School of Nursing to become a Registered Nurse. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Wozna on January 9, 1960 in Lake Clear and shared a blessed union of 62 years. Arlene was employed as an RN with Faxton Hospital and then with Sitrin Nursing Home and retired after 20 years of service. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Holland Patent and of the Order of the Eastern Star in Oriskany.
Arlene enjoyed traveling with her husband overseas to Europe, especially Ireland and spending time traveling in the US to Maine. She also cherished spending time and entertaining her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Robert, Holland Patent; daughters, Kathy (John) Brown, Prospect and Sheila (Brett) Saunders, Utica; sons, Robert Wozna, Saranac Lake and Scott (Eva) Wozna, Holland Patent; grandchildren, Lydia Brown, Alexis Saunders, Chelsea Wozna, Chloe Parks, Britney Wozna and Robert Wozna; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Clifford (Joan) Donaldson, Jr. and nephew, Aaron Donaldson. She was predeceased by an infant grandson, Mitchell Saunders.
Arlene's family wishes to sincerely thank their lifelong friends Pat and Paul Schmidt for their many acts of kindness and compassion that were given to Arlene over the years, also a special thank you to the staff of Hospice & Palliative Care.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Monday, August 1, 2022 prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 40 Main St., Whitesboro. Funeral services will be on Monday at 11:00 AM. At the Funeral Home.
Remembrances in Arlene's name may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
