Arleen Mae Imus of Leesburg, Florida passed away on July 20th after a courageous battle with COVID-19. Born in Galien, MI on February 6,1939 to Joseph and Marie Derbas, Arleen married Russell Imus in 1960 and moved to Detroit, where she raised four children, lead social events at the Detroit Yacht Club, the Women's Travel Club and volunteered at the Detroit Zoo Butterfly House. In 2004 she moved to Arlington Ridge with her partner, Jerry West, and became an active member of the Eagles Club and the Fairfax Players Theater group.
Arleen is survived by four children, Susan Nelsen of Delray Beach, Lisa Egnash of St. Paul, MN, Patrick Imus of Clermont, and Jay Imus, of Hoboken NJ, and grandchildren Amy, Sarah, Kim, Marty, Justin, Mark and Madeline, siblings, Daniel Derbas of Galien, MI, and June Sounart, of Carlsbad, CA.
A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 8:30AM, at St. Paul's Church, 1330 Sunshine Ave. Leesburg. All are welcome.
