Archie Swift Livingston, 79, of Edisto Beach, husband of Lynn Livingston, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his daughter's residence.
Due to COVID-19 all services will be private.
Archie was born on December 30, 1941 in Orangeburg, SC, son of the late Randolph and Virginia Livingston.
Survivors in addition to Lynn, his dearly loved wife of 52 years, are: three children: Virginia Corn (James) of Summerville, Hope Livingston Johnson (Michael) of Gastonia, NC, and Archie Swift Livingston, Jr. (Cassandra) of Charlotte, NC; seven grandchildren; one sister, Edna Fuller of Lakeway, TX; and seven nieces and nephews.
Archie was raised in North, SC, and was a proud graduate of North High School. He then went on to study Mathematics at Clemson College. After graduation, he moved to Charlotte, NC, where he lived for 40 years, raising his kids and working, before retiring to his beloved Edisto Beach in 2004. On Edisto, he was a proud member of the Tide Committee, Edisto Island Yacht Club, Former President of the Edisto Island Lions Club, and the Codgers. He also enjoyed playing bridge, fishing, gardening, pulling for the Clemson Tigers, Men's Bible Study, and spending time with family and friends on his back porch.
Archie had a favorite quote, "Aspire to inspire before you expire" - He was successful at attaining that goal, and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
