Antonio Mejia, Jr., 64, was called Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Tony was a good, kind person and always tried to live by God's example. He attended Iglesia Bautista de Emmanuel and was a member of the congregation for many years. He loved to read & study various books for fun and appreciated academia. He always enjoyed a good ball game especially his Dallas Cowboys. He will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by his loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Sr., mother, Aurora, and brother Armando Mejia. He is survived by his siblings Ida Mejia (Edward Villarreal), Yolanda M. Reyna (Manuel), and Rolando Mejia (Deanne); nieces & nephew Yvonne ( Alfonso Gutierrez), Cindy Reyna, Eric Reyna (Blanca); grandnieces & grandnephews Serena, Amber, Eric Jr., Elijah, Jordan, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 3:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be Monday, November 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Ashland Memorial Park.
