Antonio Guillet of Baldwin Place, NY passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 91. He was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico on June 23, 1930, the son of Arcangel and Sandalia Lopez Guillet.
Antonio proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired assembler at a company that manufactured mannequins in New York City. Antonio enjoyed baseball, and although he spent most of his adult life in the Bronx, he was a Mets fan.
In 1958 Antonio married Natividad Crespo in Puerto Rico. Natividad passed away on June 29, 2018. He is survived by his son, Antonio Jr. of Manhattan; his daughters, Gladys Guillet of Ridgefield, CT, Jacqueline Devanny of Mahopac and Milagros Guillet of Wilmington, DE; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to Natividad, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jeanette Sanchez and several brothers and sisters.
Visiting will be held on Monday, June 6 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. All are invited to gather on Tuesday, June 7 at 10:30 am at the funeral home where a Prayer Service will commence at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
