Antonio Ramiriz Garcia, age 94, passed away on May 15, 2024 in Kermit, TX. He was born on May 10, 1930 in Marathon, TX to Francisco and Luisa (Ramiriz) Garcia. Antonio married Olivia Ortiz on October 3, 1959 in Kermit, TX and they shared 65 wonderful years together.
Antonio was known as "Moso" to friends and family. He enjoyed dancing, a good tequila, shelling pecans, and playing cards with family. He never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune and enjoyed watching boxing, Nascar, the Dallas Cowboys and western movies. Antonio will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife: Olivia Garcia of Kermit, TX; sons: Oscar Garcia and wife Connie, Robert Garcia, and Rudy Garcia and wife Sylvia, all of Kermit, TX; daughters: Dolores Nunez and husband Humberto and Becky Leyva and husband Juan, all of Kermit, TX; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Antonio was preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Luisa Garcia; sons: Orlando Garcia and Daniel Garcia; brothers: Manuel Garcia and Domingo Garcia Sr.; sisters: Eulojia Hernandez, Antonia Olvera, and Francisca Garcia; and his loving dog: Troy.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Family Services Funeral Parlor in Kermit. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Thomas St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Charles Rajan officiating. Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers are Daniel Garcia, Oscar Garcia, Jr., Johnny Nunez, Rudie Danielle Garcia, Andy Nunez, and Juan Leyva.
