Antonio Rendon Carmona, age 70, of Harlingen, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born January 4, 1952, in Harlingen to Jose Anselmo Carmona and Matea Elida Rendon. Antonio was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served four Tours of Duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. HooRah! He worked with Homeland Security as a Border Patrol Agent for several years. Antonio was also a member of the American Legion Post 205 of Harlingen and VFW Post 2410 of San Benito. Antonio was a very loving and kind man. He was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle and friend He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his humor, love for family and his saying famous saying "Shoot Yeah".
Tony is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his wife, Maria E. Carmona; daughter, Cristina Michelle Carmona Abercrombie; siblings, Jose Carmona Jr. (Celina), Juan Manuel Carmona, Rafael Carmona (Maggie), Lupita Cantu (Robert), Elly McFarland (Mike); along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday April 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Heavenly Grace Cemetery, La Feria with full military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 205 and VFW Post 2410.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rudy Elizondo Jr., John Joe Elizondo, Rey Elizondo, Sammy Elizondo, Robert Cantu Jr., and Angel Cisneros.
