Anthony Edward Stacey, a resident of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the age of 57 years old at the UPMC Harrisburg PA Hospital. Anthony affectionately known as Tony is survived by his parents Linda Cerrito-Stacey and Dr. Michael Stacey, Annette Suslak and Benjamin Fassett, Amy Stacey, Niece Lauren Suslak, Nephew Michael Magdycz, Jr. and Tyler Fassett, Aunts and Uncles, Judith and William Rudolph, Bonnie and Joseph DeAngelo, Beverly and David Schiopucie and many cousins, friends, and long-life partner Rose-Marie Schultz. Predeceased by his grandparents Lydia Ceritto, Thomas Ceritto and his cousins Cindy Rudolph, Richard Houle, and Anthony Edward Gwara.
Tony was born in Meriden, CT, on November 3, 1964. At the early age of 5 years old Tony became a resident student at the American School for the Deaf located in West Hartford, CT, then in 6th grade transferred to The Clarke for the Deaf located in Northampton, MA and was a resident student, Tony graduated in 1983 from the Willie Ross School for the Deaf and attended the University of Waco Tech College located in Waco, TX, where he studied Landscape Design.
Tony was a devoted grandson, son, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend to all. In his youth he enjoyed swimming, playing little league baseball, high school basketball and was a devoted Patriot's football Fan. During his childhood until leaving for college Tony enjoyed yearly summer family vacations at Lake Luzerne, NY, with his aunts, uncles, and cousins. During those vacations at the lake Tony would enjoy spending hours fishing on the lake with his cousin Rick. Tony enjoyed studying history, specifically about WWII, and the invasion of Pearl Harbor. In his adult life Tony was grateful to have traveled to Hawaii and visit many of the historical sites and monuments he studied. Tony's passion for the environment shown through his personal gardening and landscaping skills on his McConnellsburg, PA home shared with Rose-Marie.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, June 13, 2022, at the Zion Lutheran Church located at 235 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford, CT 06492 and Paster Robert Hass will officiate. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery located at 76 Bee Street, Meriden, CT. A reception will be announced, and donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in Tony's name.
