Anthony James "Jim" Silva, Sr., age 78, of Sevierville, formerly of Honolulu, HI, entered into Heaven on August 26, 2024. He attended City Church (Bethlehem) in Gastonia NC. He was the owner of Jim's Vending. In his spare time Jim enjoyed gardening, especially hibiscus. He was a diesel mechanic for twenty years and he enjoyed working on cars with his sons. He volunteered in the church nursery because of his love for babies and his nickname was "The Baby Whisperer." He is preceded in death by his father, David Silva; his mother, Mildred Silva, his sister, Linda Souza; grandparents Manuel and Philomenia Silva and Joaquin and Agnes Santos. Jim is survived by his wife Sharon "Kathy" Silva (Peeler); sons, Jim "Tony" Silva Jr. (Amanda), Ryan Silva (Kimberly), Matthew Silva, Lucas "Luke" Silva; daughters Tanya Kaaihue (Jon), Maile Smucker (Shawn); 22 grandchildren, Kaena, Branson, Christian, Dylan, B.K., Lyric, Hikialani, Kylee, Kamuela, Caitlin, Roman, Jack, Cameron, Chloe, Colby, Cade, Lucy, Abra, Samuel, Leo, Poppy Lynn, Halle; 7 great grandchildren, Mila, Bailee, Beckham, Oliver, Isikeli, Analeia, Tehillah; brother David Silva, Jr. (Violet); sister Deborah Silva; special friends, Kevin and Lindsay Moul, Nancy (Mills) Myers and her family, and Tom and Shirley Sipe and their family. A private service will be held on September 29, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
