Anthony J. Naimoli, 93, husband of the late Irene (Guest) Naimoli, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Miller Memorial with his family by his side. Born in Meriden on April 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Antonio and Nellie (D'Agostino) Naimoli and he resided in Meriden and Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Anthony was employed by the Meriden Police Department serving the downtown Meriden area for many years. He then became a detective.
Anthony was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Laurent Church. He was also a member of the North Italian Club, Franco American Club, P.B.A and Elks Lodge 35.
Anthony is survived by his children, Donna DeRosa and her husband, Robbie and Gary Naimoli and his wife Vivian; three grandchildren, Angela, Kyle and Leda and six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Robert, Giuliana, Ava, Oona, and Ewan. He was predeceased by his grandson, Dan, his brother Jerry and his sister, Frances.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, will take place on Friday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
