Anthony S. Carlisi passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2022. Tony loved the Lord, his family and many friends, golfing, traveling, and eating in great restaurants. Tony was born in 1930 in Waltham, MA to Gerlando and Rosalea Carlisi. In 1957, he married the love of his life, Josephine, and they were dedicated to each other for over 65 years. Tony was a proud alumnus of Boston College. After graduation, he served in the Army Intelligence Corps in Korea. When he returned home, Tony began a career in sales, which included a 34 year career in Sales and Marketing with Xerox Corporation. Tony also lived a life of service to his community, founding Operation Food Basket, a nonprofit organization now in its 41st year of feeding hungry families in the Rochester New York metropolitan area. Additionally, he volunteered for 17 years at the Rochester chapter of SCORE, first as a small business mentor, then as the Marketing and Fundraising Committee Chairs, Chapter Chair, and Assistant District Director.
Tony is survived by his wife, Josephine, his son Richard Carlisi, daughter Anne Marie Carlisi, son-in-law Thomas Kartovicky, daughter-in-law Cindy Carlisi, and the prides of his life, his grandchildren Christopher Carlisi, Michael Carlisi and Leah Kartovicky Worthey (Brandon Worthey).
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am in the sanctuary of Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Mr. Carlisi will then be laid to rest with military honors inside the Sunrise Chapel of Arlington Memorial Park (201 Mount Vernon Hwy Atlanta, GA 30328).
