Mrs. Annette Abney Willkie, age 69, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Willkie was born in Macon, GA on September 8, 1951, daughter of the late Robert Bryant Abney, Sr. and the late Annie Jo George Abney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Willkie and by a brother, Robert B. Abney, Jr. Mrs. Willkie was a 1969 graduate of Pepperell High School in Lindale. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with BellSouth as an Electronic Technician for over 31 years. Mrs. Willkie was a member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jaime Martin and Jessica Merritt, both of Silver Creek; 3 grandchildren, Brittany Tidwell (Chris), Justin Thomas Martin, Courtney Michelle Martin; 2 brothers, Edward W. Abney, Silver Creek, and Mark J. Abney, Cave Spring; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Camille Josey will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Saturday from 3 pm until the service hour. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested by the family.
