Mrs. Annette Thomas Mole, wife of Marvin Mole of Varnville, died Monday morning at her residence.
Mrs. Mole was born August 27, 1940, in Hampton, SC, to the late Lockwood S. Thomas, Sr. and Vennie Rentz Thomas. She was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School in 1958 and attended Winthrop College.
She married Marvin Mole on February 19, 1961. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and treasurer for the Hampton County Heart Association for five years. Mrs. Mole was a member of the Hampton First Baptist Church, where she put her love for Christ into teaching Sunday School, working the Clothes Closet and singing in the Choir.
Mrs. Mole worked for the State of South Carolina as a Resident Court Reporter for the 14th Judicial Circuit for 31 years and after retiring worked part time for several years with Peters, Murdaugh, Parker, Eltzroth & Detrick as a legal secretary.
She enjoyed golfing, reading, playing bridge, traveling and her annual trip to Edisto Beach with her precious, fun loving Thomas family.
Annette was the epitome of a fine southern lady with a flair for fashion and was loved by many.
Mrs. Mole is survived by her husband Marvin of 61 years, Daughter Melissa (Missy) Ann Mole Westerhold (James) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Brothers: Randy C. Thomas (Susan) of Rembert, SC, and Michael D. Thomas (Bobbie) of Sheldon, SC; one and only special Granddaughter: Lily Caroline Westerhold; Nephew: Michael Paul Thomas (Betsy); Nieces: Julie T. Jarrell (Kevin), and Mandy T. Harvey (Ben). She was pre-deceased by her brother Lockwood S. Thomas and sister-in-law Diane S. Thomas.
The family would like to thank Blane Padgett and all the care team with Agape Hospice for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends donations to the Hampton First Baptist Church at 305 Oak Street East, Hampton, SC 29924.
Due to Covid the family will hold a private graveside service at Sandy Run Cemetery.
