Annette Brown Brooks, age 81, stepped into Glory with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 9, 2024. She spent her last days surrounded by her family and friends in her home in Bryson Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Funeral will be held at Brooks Cemetery, Monday, February 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Annette was born in Graham on November 17, 1942 to William Ray and Annie Ruth (Driver) Brown. She was a retired educator from Graham ISD. She loved to travel, and her favorite place was Lake City Colorado. Annette was a mighty prayer warrior for her family and friends.
Annette is survived by her children, Jerry Brooks and wife Juli, Michael Brooks and wife Suzanne, and Paula Brooks; grandchildren, Will Brooks and wife Melissia, Neal Brooks and wife Chelsey, Weldon Brooks and wife Melissa, Blake Brooks and wife Katelynn, Jordan Farmer and husband Will, Eyeshanea Johnson, Charlene Gomez and husband Isaac, Brittany Varrone and husband Matt, and Cody Polvado; great grandchildren, Weldon Brooks and wife Zoe, Isabell Brooks, Wyatt Brooks, Brooks Bohannon, Beau Brooks, Krystan Brooks, Harrison Brooks, Natalie Brooks, Madeline Brooks, Grayson Brooks, Savannah Brooks, Aniyah Mendoza, Elijah Gomez, Ezra Gomez, and Madison Varrone; sisters, Barbara Trice and husband Wayne, Helen Robinson; brothers, Dennis Brown and wife Sue, Wendell Brown and wife Susan, and Bobby Brown; and brother in law, Joe Brogdon; daughter in law, Tammy Brooks
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruth Brown; sisters, Beverly Brogdon, and Betty Roberts; brothers-in-law, Charlie Gowens, Terrill Roberts, and Brent Robinson: nieces Amy Gowens and Shelly Wickersham; great nephew, Luke Brogdon
