Annette Constance Baldia Boone, 88, of Hot Springs passed away peacefully June 4, 2022.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Annette was born to the late Blanche and Henry Baldia in Fall River, MA, where she grew up speaking French and Portuguese and learned English as a second language at Catholic school. Soon after graduating high school, she met Bobby Joe Boone, Sr., the love of her life, who was on Naval deployment on the East coast. They married and started a family in his hometown of Memphis, TN.
Raising their two sons brought Annette much pride and joy. She was very involved with their school, sports, and scouting activities, and loved camping, fishing, and boating as a family. A juvenile parole officer and community volunteer, Annette was a member of Bellevue Baptist with Bob and the boys.
When her youngest son started middle school, Annette began her accounting career with Sears in the retail credit department where she trained and mentored other associates for many years. Precise and detailed in her work, Annette was equally patient and kind in helping others. Moving to a part-time customer service position gave Annette more time with family as she finished her career.
Annette and Bob enjoyed 25 years of active retirement cheering for their favorite sports teams in their Lakeland, TN home and admiring sunsets overlooking the pond. They relocated to Hot Springs, AR in 2017 to continue the good life in their golden years.
Annette is survived by Bobby Joe Boone, Sr., her husband of 68 years; sons Rusty Boone (Paulla) of Hot Springs and Bobby Joe Boone, Jr. (Sue) of Montgomery, AL; grandson Adam Boone (Courtney) and great grandsons Myles and Conner Boone of Munford, TN; brother Arthur Baldia of Waldorf, MD; and niece Ann Dietzel of Franklin, TN.
The family wishes to thank the teams at National Park Medical Center Senior Care Center, Kindred Hospice, and Brenda Perez at Loving Care Assisted Living for their exceptional care.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private family service will follow.
