Anne H. Robbins, 72 of Pawleys Island, SC, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on October 19, 2024, with her life partner, Joe, by her side. Anne was born April 15, 1952 in Jamestown NY, daughter of the late, Douglas Robert and (Margaret) Priscilla Robbins. Anne was raised in Jamestown, NY, and spent most of her adult life in Vermont before retiring in Pawleys Island, SC.
Anne enjoyed exercise and could frequently be found walking and running around her neighborhood in Pawleys with her faithful companion and fur-baby, Sammy Joe, by her side, whom she lost only 45 days prior to her passing. Anne shared her love of fitness with her friends often teaching a class in her garage. She had a love of skiing as well and was a ski instructor for several years at Killington in Vermont.
She also loved to read and could often be found with a book in her hands at least some point every day. She could never drive by Litchfield Books without stopping to peruse the latest titles. Anne was also a parishioner of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church in Pawleys Island.
Anne graduated from Southwestern Central High School in Jamestown, NY, further attending Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT, and Elmira College in Elmira, NY. Anne graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. She worked as a journalist at Jamestown Post Journal in Jamestown, NY and The Rutland Herald in Rutland, VT. She then attended the College of St.
Joseph the Provider in Rutland, VT, earning a Master's Degree in Education. She became an elementary school teacher in several Vermont schools including Killington, Bridgewater, Wells and Wallingford before retiring.
Survivors include her partner of more than 30 years, Joe Frankiewicz; her brother, Charles D. Robbins Sr. (Carol) of Mendon, VT; her nephew, Charles D. Robbins, Jr. (Shelby) of Tinmouth, VT; her niece, Heidi Robbins (Dana) of Waitsfield, VT; and several great nieces and nephews.
Celebrations of Anne's life will be held at a time and date yet to be determined in Pawleys Island, SC and summer of 2025 in Tinmouth,VT.
