Anne L. Myers Porter, age 91, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of the late Richard A. Porter, departed this life Monday evening, January 6, 2020 at her home.
Anne was born April 12, 1928 in Bollinger County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Henry M. Myers and Ruth Vance Myers. She was married for 49 years to Richard A. Porter (lovingly known as "Dub") and was a member of First Baptist Church of Somerville. She was a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas for 30 years and was a legal secretary from 1948 until her retirement in 1994, the last ten years in the Mountain Home Municipal Court, where she served as County Court Clerk. Anne found much joy in being "MeeMaw" to her entire family.
Mrs. Porter is survived by three daughters, Libby McKnight of Somerville, TN, Terri Smith of Germantown, TN, Tonie Falk (Stephen) of Columbus, OH; two sons, Rick Porter (Cindy) of Bauxite, AR, Matt Porter (Terri) of Berryville, AR; her sister, Reka Holder of Godfrey, IL; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Porter will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Somerville with Mrs. Porter's son, Rick Porter, officiating. Interment will follow in the Somerville City Cemetery. A visitation for Mrs. Porter will be from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Somerville. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Frank McKnight, Ben Hall, Brian Smith, Seth Porter, Luke Porter, Rick Porter, Andrew Westfall and Matt Cody.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 24310 N. Sardis Road, Bauxite, AR 72011.
