She was the loving wife of William, devoted mother of Christopher and Kathleen, generous mother in law to Janine (n?e Surace), adoring grandmother to Thomas, and caring sister to Patricia Connor (n?e McDonnell) and Kevin McDonnell. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Mary and James, her brother John, as well as many cousins and friends who benefited from her kindness. Born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn, Anne attended Saint Ephrem's grammar school, Saint Saviour High School and Notre Dame College of Staten Island. Anne and William married April 1, 1967 at her parish, St Ephrem's. She moved to Staten Island in 1974, where she spent almost 50 years. In 1987, she obtained her nursing degree at The College of Staten Island graduating at the top of her class. She worked at Lutheran Medical Center from 1987 to 1994 and then at VNA of Staten Island from 1994 until her retirement channeling her desire to be of service into helping her patients, often going above and beyond to do so. She was a gifted cook who could take three ingredients and make a feast. She was witty and had humor even in the darkest times. She loved color and texture and knew how to make everything just a little bit more beautiful. Anne was a giver and a harmonizer, and the center of our family. Anne would like you to cook yourself a delicious meal, make someone laugh, and pour yourself a nice glass of wine.
