Anne Elizabeth Blakeslee-Chunglo left this life Sunday, January 24, 2021 and was reunited in Heaven with her beloved son, Glenn Robert Chunglo, who predeceased her in 2006.
Born in Yonkers, NY on February 28, she was the oldest of three children and only daughter of the late Major (USAF) Clayton W. Blakeslee and Marion B. Blakeslee.
She attended Amherst High School, however, graduated from Hastings-on-the-Hudson High School in Hastings, NY.
She made her home and raised her two children single handedly in Amherst, MA, living there from the 1950's to 1997. Then relocating to Charlotte, NC with her daughter.
Anne worked at the former First National Bank, Amherst Savings Bank and Amherst Heritage Bank.
She retired in 1996 from the Town of Amherst after ten years of service as an Emergency Dispatcher.
She leaves behind her daughter, Joanne Chunglo of Charlotte, NC, daughter-in-law, Nancy Chunglo of Florence, MA and only grandchild, Dr. Alison O'Connor, DPT and husband Drew O'Connor of Mahopac, NY.
Missing her terribly are her chihuahua's, Sammy and Tommy.
Anne leaves behind special friends Raymond Babb of Hadley, MA, Jeanne Richter of South Hadley, MA and Patsy Cornelison of Charlotte, NC.
