Anna Margaret Snow (Ward), a lifelong Maryland resident passed away Thursday, July 14th 2022. Born November 16th 1924 in Washington DC, the youngest child of Burton and Effie Ward. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband, Robert (Bob) E. Snow, and their son Robert (Bobby) K. Snow. Her surviving family includes her son Ronald K Snow, Granddaughter Tracy Gardiner, husband David Gardiner and their daughter Lindsey Gardiner, son Camden Gardiner and his fiance Mary Farinholt. Granddaughter Samantha Stiller, husband Tyler Stiller and son Liam Stiller. Grandson Robert (Robbie) K Snow and his fiance Raquel Shaver. Daughter-in-law Elaine Snow, Granddaughter Melissa Snow and son Brayden Snow, Grandson Justin Snow, wife Rachel Snow and their children Layla and John Snow. She is also survived by niece Sue Senate. Raised in Foster homes, at around the age of 10 went to live with George and Elizabeth Windham on their farm in Colesville, Maryland. Anna remained with the Windhams', graduating high school and taking a job at Naval Ordnance in White Oak, MD. She met and married her husband Bob, who had been recently discharged from the Navy following WWII, on December 19th, 1946. Following the birth of their sons Anna stayed at home to raise them. Later she returned to the work force at Goddard Space Flight Center NASA, from which she later retired. Anna and Bob were very active in the lives of their sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were also involved in Square Dancing and Anna supported husband Bob's involvement in the American Legion. A memorial to celebrate her life will be scheduled and announced at a later time.
