Anna Mae Grismore, 90, of Greenwood and Indianapolis passed away on July 14th, 2022. She was born to Onan Charles & Eunice Irene Harvey in Indianapolis on January 15th, 1932. On February 27, 1954, Anna married the love of her life, Gene Edward Grismore. They raised two children and lived many years together until his passing. Anna was a long time Southsider, active in Southport Heights Christian Church and later Gray Road Baptist Church. She was also involved with several women’s Bible studies over the years. Anna spent time working at Allison Transmissions, University of Indianapolis, and H&R Block. She enjoyed time with family and friends and watching her children and grandchildren participate in sports.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtis Gritton (brother), Charley Harvey (brother), and Lenora Peake (sister). Anna is survived by her sister, Doris Ramech, and her two sons, Thomas (Nancy) Grismore and Rod Grismore. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Nicholas Grismore, John Grismore, and Myranda Grismore.
A visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Singleton & St. Pierre- 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, IN. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Singleton & St. Pierre, with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Following the service, burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
