Anna T. Gilliam, 88, of Rushville, IN, passed away July 10th, at Majestic Care of Avon.
Anna was born in Maghera, Ireland on June 2, 1932, a daughter of the late Margaret (Lagan) and Frank Madden.
She married Jesse H. Gilliam in 1953 and he died in 2008. She had worked as a CNA at Rush Memorial Hospital and was a medical assistant for the late Dr. Harry McKee. Anna also worked at the Indiana Soldiers & Sailors Home in Knightstown, IN. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville.
Anna is survived by a son, Toby Gilliam (Lisa Bostic) , of Vero Beach, FL, one daughter, Teresa Holmes, of Falmouth, IN; one step daughter Wanda Hardeman, of Lewisville, KY and also her former daughter-in-law, Brenda Gilliam of Rushville.
Anna will always be cherished by her grandchildren, Aaron Gilliam, Chelsie (Michael) Williams, Angie (David) Ayrton, Aaron (Reese) Pavey, Neil (Laura) Miller, Barry (Keitha) Miller and Billy Hardeman. Her great grandchildren, Carter, Kayla, Ellah, Harper, Madison, Morgan, Kendall, Reece, Ford, Hayden, Brody, Alayna, & Kora will also miss her.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vera Einhaus; step son, Wayne Gilliam; sister Madge and brother Kevin and nine other half siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church celebrated by Rev James Brockmeier. Visitation will be from 10 AM, the rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.
