Anna K. Craig, 100, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Hampton Oaks Health Campus in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on August 9, 1922 in Scott County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Carr and Ebbie A. (Miller) Carr. On April 5, 1941 she married Lloyd W. Craig, who passed away on July 1, 2007. She was a retired office manager for Lifespring in Scottsburg, Indiana where she worked for 13 years, a former dental assistant and appointment setter for the old Dr. Hollis Mitchell's office for 12 years and former shipping clerk for the old Scottsburg Novelty for 5 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana. Anna enjoyed painting nature scenes and sewing. In addition to her parents and husband, Lloyd, she was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Frank, Jr, Earl, and Everitt Carr; two sisters, Violet Simpson and Mary Lois Wise; a great granddaughter, Amanda Findley; and daughter in law, Patsy. Survivors include two sons, Bill (Sharon) Craig of Scottsburg, Indiana and Jerry Craig of Scottsburg, Indiana; three daughters, Carolyn (Bob) McElhany of Seymour, Indiana, Shirley (Fred) Black of Hanover, Indiana, and Ebbie Craig of Scottsburg, Indiana; one brother, Wilbert Carr of Columbus, Indiana; eleven grandchildren, Vikie (Randy) Banister, Greg Findley, Dan (Wendy) McClain, Frank (Jennifer) McClain, Todd (Jennifer) Craig, Kim (Sergio) Farinas, Tammy Densford, Matthew (Jessica) Craig, three step grandchildren, Erica Black, Travis McElhany (Rachel), Jenny McElhany; twenty-three great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Funeral Service 11:00 am Thursday, July 27, 2023, at First Christian Church in Scottsburg, Indiana with Phil LaMaster officiating. Visitation 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home and after 9:00 am Thursday at First Christian Church. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. Memorial Contributions to First Christian Church of Scottsburg or the charity of your choice in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
