Ann Marie Molzer (Stanko) was born December 22,1953 in Pueblo, Colorado. Shortly after, her family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico before settling in Littleton, Colorado in 1970. Ann passed away on April 5, 2022 in Aurora, Colorado after living with cancer for two years.
After graduating from Arapahoe High School in 1972, Ann attended Colorado State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. She spent her entire career in Littleton Public Schools, teaching at Goddard Middle School from 1976 to 1986, then transferring to Littleton High School where she taught Biology, Advanced Placement Biology and Integrated Science, and serving as Science Department Chair for many years. Ann loved the pursuit of science and inspired her students and colleagues through her natural curiosity about the world we inhabit. After retirement in 2005, Ann returned to school to become a certified master gardener. She started her own business, 'Yard 'n Annie,' and dedicated many hours to helping others transform their yards into beautiful spaces.
On July 23, 1977, Ann married the love of her life, John. Together they enjoyed traveling, boating, laughing at the antics of their beloved dogs and especially spending time at their second home on a lake in Arkansas. In her free time, Ann loved to play cards, golf, read, cook and spend time in her garden.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louise and Clarence Stanko, and her sister, Marjorie Jumper. Ann is survived by her husband John, brother-in-law Rick Molzer, nephew John Jumper, niece-in-law Patty Jumper, niece Christine Barnhorst, nephew-in-law Brad Barnhorst and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, John requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
