Ann was born and grew up in Kansas City, MO area and spend her adult life in Independence, MO. She was a true "show me" girl and loved to tell stories of her childhood where she was both a tomboy hanging out with her brothers and a mid-western lady. She loved a challenge and was determined to live her life on her terms. To name a few of her adventures; she worked in the front office of the Kansas City Chiefs during their 1960-70 glory years. She was an elder at Westport Presbyterian Church, served on numerous political boards and as a legislative aide to a MO State Senator and was associated with four universities, serving as a Regent at Central Missouri State University.
After exploring her Irish heritage on a trip to Ireland she established an art production business in Galway and for five years she lived part-time in the Galway area. She decided to settle back in the US after her return trip landed her in Newfoundland for a week on September 11, 2001. In her spare time, she earned a bachelor's and master's degree in Political Science from Park College, where she helped create a graduate school program. Ann was also the published author of three books.
In 2010 Ann moved to Bowling Green, KY to be closer to her daughter and grandson and began her last adventure, which was spending time with family around her swimming pool.
On Sunday, July 10, 2022, she got the most important call of her life, and she was ready. It was her time to reunite with her loved ones that had "gone before". A celebration of her life will be held in the Kansas City area at a later date.
The family would like to thank Eddie and Andrew Adler for the loving care they provided to Ann, allowing her to live at home until the end. They are true friends to the family.
