Anita June was born to John and Bertha Danenberger on January 26, 1934. She returned to her Creator on August 17, 2023.
She was the youngest of 10 children: John, Eleanor, Catherine, Lolitta, Buster, Jean, Alvin, Caroline, Elaine, June. She was always telling stories about the joy of growing up on the family's Pennsylvania farm, working with her family and her future husband Tom at the lake, and spending summers down the shore.
June married her Lower Moreland High School sweetheart, Tom Cooper, on September 7, 1957. They were blessed with six children: Aleta, Anita, Alane, Allison, Anne, and Tom. They have 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with two more on the way, who all learned how to love, laugh, and the importance of family from her.
She continually volunteered, sharing her subtle grace and talents with others. She wanted nothing in return.
She loved her husband Tom, her family, extended family, and friends unconditionally and was dedicated to keeping them connected. Her thoughts and prayers were with all of them to the end.
It was always her desire to keep the family connected and pass on the kindness and hope that she learned from her mother and father, and make sure that we do not forget, ever, that family, faith, and friends are what matter most. She succeeded more than anyone could imagine.
We have lost our greatest fan, our fiercest friend, and our closest ally.
May she walk with God forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 30 at 11:00 am at Marco Lutheran Church.
