Angelina Marie Womack, a cherished wife, mother, Nonnie, and sister, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, at the age of 82. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 1, 1940, to John and Olga Bianchi, she was a pillar of strength, love, and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Angelina is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Willie Womack. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Lisa Wagner (Jeff), Jason Womack (Alisha), Rodney Womack, and Tiffany Bockus (Cory). She was the proud Nonnie to Juliana, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jessica, Makayla, Olivia, Caleb, Mackenzie, Natalie, Caitlyn, and Shane. A precious infant son, Kevin, preceded her in death. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she took immense pride in watching them grow.
As a dedicated daughter, Angelina was preceded in death by her parents, John and Olga Bianchi. She is survived by her three sisters, Victoria Santopietro (Joe), Rita Coburger (Peter), and Lucy Harness (Ken), with whom she shared an eternal bond.
Angelina's professional life was marked by her dedication to others. As a Housing Authority Director, she worked tirelessly to create better living conditions for those in need. Following her career, she transitioned into the role of homemaker, ensuring her family was always surrounded by love, support, and, of course, amazing Italian food.
A woman of strong faith, Angelina was a devoted member of the Mason Dixon Baptist Church. Her love for God shone through in her actions and her unwavering kindness towards others. Angelina found solace and joy in her faith, which guided her throughout her life and was a source of inspiration for her loved ones.
Her interests were diverse and always centered around her family and faith. Angelina loved spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Nonnie." She enjoyed shopping with her daughter Lisa, reading cookbooks, baking, and cooking delicious meals for her family - her famous lasagna, artichokes and pound cake became a staple for holidays and birthdays. The annual family trip to Myrtle Beach was a treasured tradition that spanned over 40 years, creating lasting memories for all.
In addition to her love for her family, Angelina had a passion for gardening and flowers, finding beauty and serenity in the natural world.
Her warm presence, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. In the words of the Lord's Prayer, "Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." Angelina's love and devotion served as a living testament to this prayer, and her spirit will continue to shine through the lives of those she touched.
A public viewing for Angelina Womack will take place on Friday, May 5th between 6-8 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6th at 10 am.
