Angela M. Duffield, 87, of Salisbury, MD, Formerly of the Annapolis area, died on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at her home. Born in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, she was the daughter of the late George Emery and Gwendoline Payne Emery.
Angela worked for 19 years for the former Annapolis Federal Savings and Loan, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Wicomico Presbyterian Church and the Happy Timers. She gave of herself by volunteering at Deer's Head Hospital Center, Coastal Hospice Thrift Store, and had been a board member of the Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Medical Center Junior Board.
She is survived by 2 sons, Scott Duffield & his wife, Bonnie of Ocean Pines, MD and Michael Duffield & his wife, Susan of Catonsville, MD; a daughter, Tracy L. Zeiler of Jacksonville, FL; 5 grandchildren - Abigail Duffield, Carolyn Duffield, Jaime Duffield, Justin Zeiler and Sarah Zeiler; a great-grandson, Luca Daniel Stewart Zeiler; a sister, Gillian Shepherd & her husband, Roger all of England and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Verle D. Duffield in 2005 as well as her brother, George Emery and older sister, Josephine Cooksey.
A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Wicomico Presbyterian Church, 129 Broad Street in Salisbury, MD with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Maggie Gillespie will officiate. Private family interment will be held at the Crownsville Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
