Angela Conte June 9, 2022 Angela Conte, 81, long-time resident of Camillus, NY and recent resident of Knoxville, TN, passed away Thursday in Edina, MN after a 3-week series of serious health maladies. Her daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons comforted her as she took the hands of Jesus. Angela was simply one of the kindest, most patient, selfless souls that ever walked the earth. She was the daughter of Giovanni and Lorenza (Nicotra) Coco and was born in Piedimonte Etneo, Sicily on April 14, 1941. As fate would have it, Angela and most of her family changed their reservations to immigrate to the United States on the S.S. Cristoforo Colombo instead of the S.S. Andrea Doria, which helped them avoid that sinking back in 1956. Angela was a proud Italian and never stopped celebrating her culture. She loved Italian music, food, and family. She worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years. She was an exquisite seamstress, the best cook and baker, and had an incredible green thumb. Most of all, she was the best Mom and Grandma that left one amazing treasure trove of memories. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick Conte in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Rosina (Greg) Cline; four grandsons, Domenick, Anthony, Luciano, and Giovanni, all of Orono, Minnesota; sister, Carmela Schnur of Baldwinsville; brother, Joe (Mary) Coco of Baldwinsville; close nieces, Lisa Schnur of Cicero and Lori (John) O'Reilly of Brewerton, and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends and family are welcome to attend wake services at the FARONE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse, Friday June, 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18th 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, Camillus, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will be in the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum immediately following. COVID precautions are encouraged. Share condolences at www.faroneandsoninc.com (http://www.faroneandsoninc.com).
