Anastasia Drozd, of Osterville, died November 7, 2021 at age 107. Anna was born September 9, 1914 in Beacon New York, to John and Stasia Wojnilowicz. At age 9 she and her family left the
United States for Poland. Then at age 21 she returned to the US and a few years later, met and
married Frank P. Drozd of Southington, Connecticut. She lived in Southington for 67 years until the death of her husband.
For the next 14 years she lived in Osterville, MA with her daughter Irene and Son-in-Law
Edward Conrad. She enjoyed knitting over 100 prayer shawls when she belonged to the Prayer
Shawl Ministry of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. She loved to crochet as well as reading. In Southington, she belonged to the Immaculate Women's Club and Rosary Society at the Immaculate Conception Church.
She leaves her daughter and Son-in-Law, her beloved grandchildren, Therese (Chuck), Jeff (Kelli), Kristina (Rob)and her special great grandchildren, Dean, Drew, Adam, Aidan, Camden, and Trisha. She loved to see her family as they were so loved by her. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
The family would like to thank the kindness and the caring staff of the Pavilion, Beacon Hospice
aides from Bayada and the VNA. Also, the Osterville EMTS and the very kind people who asked about her.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in Southington, CT on December 4, 2021, at 10 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church. Donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital may be made in her memory or your favorite charity. Be like Anna ..... be kind and thankful every day.
