Anargyros Halaris, age 88, of Myrtle Beach passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at The Palmettos Garden City. Born on the Island of Santorini, Greece, he was a son of the late Antonios and Irene Halaris. Mr. Halaris immigrated to The United States as a Taylor in 1969 to Rochester, NY. He moved on to owning restaurants from 1971 until he semi-retired 2019. He was a very hard worker to provide for his family, which he loved very much. He and his wife moved to Myrtle Beach in 1994. Preceded in death by his loving wife Paraskeve in 2019 and several siblings. Survivors include his children; Anna Halaris, Antonios Halaris and his wife Anna and Barbara Halaris and her husband George Tsipetos; grandchildren, Sevasti, Foula, Anargyros, Sofia and Paraskevi; great-grandchildren Marianna, Alexandra and Alessia; sister Kalliopi; numerous other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 12, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, August 11th at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
