Amy M. Barsa, age 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 29, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice & Palliative Care in West End, NC.
Amy was born on July 17, 1957 in Berea, Ohio to the late Kenneth C. and Corrine (Ornas) Minch. She grew up in Parma, Ohio and spent much of her life in the Northeast Ohio area. Amy married her soulmate, Randolf (Randy) Barsa in 1982. After a successful career with GMAC and Kaufmann's Department Stores in finance and collections roles, she left the workforce to spend more time with her loving family and to pursue her passion for collecting and antiquing, most recently vintage stoneware. Amy enjoyed traveling the country attending Fiestaware conferences and auctions, making lifelong friends including her treasured "dish people", and expanding her Fiesta collection. While her husband's career required moves to several locations including York, Pennsylvania and most recently, Seven Lakes, North Carolina near Pinehurst, she always ensured family would be close by.
In addition to her husband, Amy is survived by her sisters, Margaret Van Son of Rockledge, FL and Beth Bentz (Curtis Barger) of Denver, NC; mother-in-law Joan Barsa of Brookpark, Ohio, sisters-in-law Sandy Reuter (Chris) and Bonita Gogolek (Rich), and brother-in-law George Barsa (Ann), along with a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Amy also leaves behind her beloved dog, DeeDee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law George R. Barsa and brother-in-law Edward M. Bentz.
