Amanda Maude Helm (Wold), age 44 of Blaine MN, passed away
peacefully at home surrounded by her family after losing a
courageous battle to Melanoma on February 23, 2025. She was
born to Bert and Kathleen Wold on March 10, 1980, in Aitkin,
Minnesota. Amanda was united in marriage to Daniel Helm in 2007
in Blaine MN.
Amanda was a compassionate nurse for 15 years and raised her two
beautiful children as a young widow for 9 years after losing her
husband to ALS at the age of 38.
Amanda was a quiet yet fierce warrior who never gave up on
anything she committed herself to. She was a devoted mother,
sister, daughter, aunt, wife, and friend.
Amanda is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Katheen Wold,
husband Daniel Helm, and nephew Ethan Wilcox.
She is survived by her son Daniel Thomas Helm II and Hope
Kathleen Helm of Blaine, MN, siblings Michael (Mary) Paverud of
Colorado, Amber (Kris) Livingston of Utah, Holly (Thomas) Mejdrich
of McGregor, MN, Cynda (Brian) Keatts of Blaine, MN and Bert III
(Josie) Wold of McGregor, MN, mother and fathers in law Sandy and
Rick Balow and Brian Helm. She is also survived by her best
childhood friend Christa Paukert and her loyal companion Mack.
She held a special place in her heart for her many Nieces and
Nephews.
We would like to thank the Mayo Clinic, St. Croix Hospice and
Cousin Serena Litwin for the exceptional care they provided, and
friends Leah Wothe and Julie Radil for the constant support and
comfort they brought, and the countless people who provided
meals, rides, and donations.
Please join the family for a memorial service in Amanda's honor on
March 21, 2025, at 1pm at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring
Lake Park, MN. There will also be a Celebration of Life immediately
following at the VFW, 1374 109th Ave in Blaine, MN.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to
