Alyce was born October 3, 1919 in Michigan, USA to the union of Pearl and Ossey Lyons. When she was a little girl she and her family moved from Michigan to New York City. After high school she went into show business and became an original Cotton Club dancer. After she ended her dancing career, a few years later she married Jariot McLemore and moved to Chicago Illinois. They opened a small bar on the south side and hosted many celebrities. A few years later they closed the bar and did other jobs. She also worked for the phone company. She died November 10, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Alyce is buried in Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She was the beloved sister of Elizabeth Lyons Hunt and Robert Ossy Lyons and the aunty of Stacey Hunt Blankenship and Brett Lyons.
