Mr. Alvin Dewitt Wright, age 77 of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Alvin was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on January 26, 1947. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Wright and Alice Elizabeth Johnson Wright; daughter, Jennifer Wright. Alvin was retired as a Kiln Fireman for General Shell Brick. Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Alvin Nicholas (Holly) Wright; stepson, Kevin Shellnutt; grandchildren, Cameron Wright, Isabella Howell, Kasey Wright, Jessica Wright; brother, Jimmy Clinton Wright; nieces, Dena Wright, Anita Shoemake, Tina Hogan, Alisha Wright; nephews, Charlie White, Frankie White, Kenny White. A visitation will be on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be conducted in the Chapel at 1:00 pm with Reverend Kenneth Percel officiating. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 W.
