Allen J Louviere passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025 at the age of 93, in Dallas TX. He was born in New Iberia, LA on Jan 10, 1932, and grew up in Beaumont, TX. After high school he joined the US Air Force. He was assigned to the Pacific where he served as a base lifeguard. He graduated from Lamar University with a dual degree in Engineering and English. He was most proud of his work at NASA Johnson Space Center, including his work on all JSC spacecraft: Apollo, Skylab, Space Shuttle and Space Station. Following retirement from NASA, he enjoyed working with his friends as a volunteer with Keep Dickinson Beautiful. He is survived by his three daughters, Amy (Ken) Kristofek, Laura (Chris) McKenna, and Jeanne (Jim) Roosa and 4 grandchildren, Maggie McKenna, David McKenna, Jack Kristofek, and Katherine Kristofek. A Reception and Rosary will be held on Feb 14, 2025, from 5 to 8pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home at 10501 Garland Rd, Dallas, TX, 75218. Open to all, casual dress please. A private funeral will be held Saturday, Feb 15th, 2025.
