Aline "Pinkie" Jones Wilson passed away at the golden age of 83 on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Slaton Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held today from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 pm at Griffin Mortuary. She was born in Bryan, Texas to the parents of Harrison and Estella King on July 31, 1937. She attended Kemp High school. During her career, she worked in the Healthcare field. After retirement she further pursued serving others through home healthcare, assisting elderly people around their homes and caring for her grandchildren as needed. Aline's passion was a love for people, she committed her life to serve others and as well as spending time with her family. She valued family and friends. Aline was a quiet woman of God and loved attending church and church musicals. Her family would like to pay these tributes to her, she was a Proverbs 31 woman and quieted spirit, "But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious". 1 Peter 3:4 ESV. Aline leaves to cherish her children Travis Jones, Rose Thompson (Danny), Lynn "BO" Wilson Jr, Michael Wilson Sr. (Sonya), Lorene Wilson King (Sidney), George Wilson (Margaret), Christine Trimble (Kirk), Kathereen Washington (Vincent), Earl Wilson (Joy) and Sarah Wilson (Charles). Three sisters Rosie "Ruth" L. Jones, Perlie M. Pitts and Theresa "Mattie" Chambers (Louis). Also surviving 35 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
