Cummings, Alice Larue (Whitehead) 88 peacefully passed away on April 1, 22. She was a woman whose life represented an embodiment of selfless and faith -driven principles. Her life was her family, and she served as matriarch and inspiration to 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, and most recently her first great-great- grandchild. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a caring, loving, and exemplary follower of Christ. She was preceded in death by Father and Mother William and Rachel Whitehead, Husband Charles Cummings, Son Larry Cummings, Daughter Deborah Proctor and several sisters and brothers. Survivors Include: Son and daughter in Law Steve and Hilah Cummings. Daughter and Son in law Lesa Cummings and Navada Moore. Daughter in law Evelyn Cummings. Son in law Ernest Proctor. Brother Herald Whitehead, Brother and sister in law Danny and Evelyn Whitehead. Sister in Law Betty Baker. Several special nieces and nephews. Grand Children: Patti Cummings, Amy (Johnny) Howard, Bonnie Proctor, Jessie (Amanda) Cummings. Great Grand Children: Cameron (Madison) Justice, Tristan Smith, Colby Proctor, Demetrius Proctor, Jonet Howard, Zane Howard, Lacosta Cummings, Colton Cummings, Makena Garner, Conner Cummings, and Allison Cummings. Great-Great Granddaughter Summitt Justice. Special thanks to David and Nancy Whitehead, Brenda Otto, Lynda Fults, Annie Cantrell, Don Lowe, Jan Morton, Gary Adams, Pam Nichols, Tammy Hearon, Shannon Hearon, Beverly Crabtree, Renee Chambers, Beth and Sarah from Amedysis Healthcare, Michelle Boone Farris, Stephanie Haworth, Chastity Cruse, and Josh Gregory. A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at Friendship Baptist Church. We invite all to attend. Pastor Rex Everette will officiate the services and Ida Mae Wooten will provide music. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
