Alice Ruth Cook, 92, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021.
Mrs. Cook was a clerk for AT&SF Railroad, in the Car Service Department from 1946 to 1958. She retired from Topeka Public Schools in 1988, where she served as secretary in Special Services.
Mrs. Cook was born on October 23, 1928, in Miller, Kansas, daughter of Millard and Edith Phillips Hodgson. She attended public school in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1946.
Mrs. Cook was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Topeka.
Mrs. Cook was married to Everett J. Cook on June 20, 1947, in Topeka; he preceded her in death in 2020.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her son, Kevin D. Cook (Karen), Flower Mound, Texas, grandson, Ethan, and granddaughter, Erin; daughter, Tracey D. Cook, Topeka, and grandson, Justin Moore; and sister, Marcia J. McCann, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lowell D. Hodgson, Barry R. Hodgson, and Twila Hodgson Staples.
Mrs. Cook was cremated and her inurnment will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, in Memorial Park Cemetery.
