Alfred R "Fred" Marshall, 81, who became one of the first licensed pharmacists in Arizona in 1913 and had operated Marshall's Pharmacy at Central and Broadway from 1928 to 1944, died Thursday in his home.
Mr Marshall was born in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and had formerly lived in Douglas and Clifton, Arizona. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge 1174 at Clifton.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hubert L Pepper of Phoenix and Mrs. Monte Carson of Yorba Linda, California; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Ferrier of Tucson; a grand child, Nancy Hill and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday in Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery.
