Alexander (Alex) Bradford Wittjen of Hudsonville, MS died October 31, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 56.
Alex was born in Holly Springs, MS on August 16, 1965 to Theresa Totten Wittjen (Weetee) and Jackson Hudson Wittjen (Jack). Upon graduation, he began his career joining the family in its farming interests in Hudsonville, MS and real estate ventures.
Alex was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting with his family and friends. He was a lifelong Episcopalian who was inspired by reading and history and was the family historian. Alex was an accomplished cook and always a gracious host and colorful storyteller.
Alex had an honest and straightforward approach to life. He was kind and devoted to those he loved and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Theresa Wittjen Quinn (Frank) and Jane Wittjen Adams and niece, Sarah Townes Quinn and nephews Conley (Diana), Jack (Marissa) and Harry Adams. He was predeceased by his brother, Jackson Hudson Wittjen, Jr.
Services will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at Christ Episcopal Church in Holly Springs, MS. Visitation is at 10:00 followed by the service at 11:00.
