Albin (Bud) Peterson, age 90, of Collbran, CO and formerly of Crystal Bay, MN, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on January 9, 2025, with his loving wife, children and grandchildren by his side.
Born on May 14,1934 in Stubbs Bay, MN, he was the second of six children born to Albin and Lillian Peterson. He joined the Air Force in 1954 and was stationed in Harlingen, TX post Korean War. Bud's adventurous spirit and employment eventually led him to move to Colorado where he could enjoy his many hobbies. They included camping, fishing, and seeking adventure wherever it may be found on the dusty dirt roads.
After living and working in Denver for a time, he accepted a position at The Gant Condominium Resort, in Aspen, CO, as Maintenance Department Head. A position he thoroughly enjoyed from 1986-2017.
He married his sweetheart, Ralene, on February 16,1995. They have many cherished memories of traveling together, building up and maintaining their hobby farm in Collbran and enjoying every minute spent with their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loved ones.
Bud is survived by his loving wife, Ralene; his children, Vivi (Tim) Oberg, Desi (Phil) Falcinelli, Nani (Paul) Dearing, Nicolle (Andy) Pearson, Tiffany (Melvin) Bracco, Bobby Hanson, and son-in law Bill Bown; 22 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Ardella (Richard) Johnson, Pauline (Buddy) Nadeau; his brothers, Wilbert (Bobbie) Peterson, and Paul (Sharon) Peterson; and many treasured nieces, nephews and family and friends.
