Albert L Fraser, Jr., 61, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on March 1, 2021 at his home in Newport. He was born on February 26, 1960 in Claremont, NH to Albert Fraser, Sr. and Beverly (Blish) Fraser.
Albert was raised in Newport and had lived in the area his entire life. He graduated from Newport High School with the class of 1978. He had worked at Sturm-Ruger since 1979 and was looking forward to retirement next year. He was an active ATV and 3 wheeler rider and had just purchased a hot rod, Monte Carlo that he was going to drive after retirement. Albert loved music, playing bass guitar in many bands over the years including, Impulse, UFB, and Rusted Chrome.
Albert was a hardworking man who rarely missed work and was never late. He was dedicated to his family, his work, and his music. He enjoyed watching all New England sports, especially the Boston Bruins. He will be missed by his coworkers, friends, and family.
He was predeceased by his father, and a sister, Kathie Stackpole.
Surviving family members include his son, Dustin Fraser and his fianc?, Rachel Barnes, of Petaluma, CA, former wife and friend, Heather Fraser of Lodi, CA, mother, Beverly Fraser of Kenneth City, FL, sisters, Amy Philbrook of Newport, NH, and nieces, Jilian Miller and Hayley Philbrook, and Gail Fraser of Kenneth City, FL, adopted sibling, Ralph Dyke, close cousin, Steve Blish, brother-in-law, Nelson Stackpole, and nephews, Christoper and Timothy Stackpole, in-laws, Robert Billings of Charlestown, NH, Patricia Conroy of Claremont, NH, Roxanne Seale of Sunapee, NH, and Melissa Bean of Charlestown, NH, many other cousins and extended family members.
A musical celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
