OBITUARY
Albert Clifford Foster, Jr entered the realm of eternal rest and peace on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at home with his wife, Vanessa; daughter, Leah and grandson, Keanu .
Kip as he was lovingly called by his friends and family was the son of the late Albert C and Lila Mae Foster (Smith) of Pendleton, SC. He was a man with a thirst for knowledge. After graduating from Riverside High School as Valedictorian, he went on to attend South Carolina State and Howard Universities. Later, he was drafted into the military where he served in the United States Air Force for over 30 years, retiring as Chief Master Sargent. He then went on to work at Pearl Harbor Naval base, retiring in 2013 as Director of Postal Operations.
During his military career, he received many accolades and awards and served overseas several times. During his assignment to England he met and married Vanessa Howe. They both loved to travel and explored the world together. He had a great passion for family, friends and golf.
He is survived by his wife Vanessa, daughter Leah Johnson (Baron-Jon), grandson Keanu Fernandez, sisters, Joice McClain, Miriam Foster, Dureatta Gibson (John); brother-in-law, Alan Howe (Bernadette) and sister-in-law Yvonne Billington (David); nieces Sandra,(Michael), Sharon (Richard) , Sireatta (Joe), Stephanie, Nina, Emily (Nick), Francoise (Derek), and Eloise; nephews, Eric(Lisa) and Stanley (Janet) and Conrad (Rachel), as well as his great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Marshall Foster, sisters Bernelle and Ethel Hilda Foster and his parents.
