Albert L. Fogarty, Jr., 75, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 3:01pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Genesis Healthcare System, Zanesville, Ohio. Born May 28, 1945 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania to the late Albert Lawrence, Sr. and Sophie Kocay Fogarty. Albert was a United States Air Force Veteran during Vietnam; he loved being outdoors and woodworking; member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Somerset and MacGahan Council #1065, Knights of Columbus of New Lexington. Survived by his wife of 14 years, Emily Barringer Fogarty; 2 sons, Steven (Tina) Fogarty of North Carolina and Brian (Jenny) Fogarty of Dresden; 3 grandsons, Stevie and Logan of Virginia and Alexander of Dresden; 1 very special granddaughter!, Little Emily of New Lexington; 1 great-grandson, Oliver of Virginia; sister, Sister Joann Fogarty of Columbus and a brother, Jim Fogarty of Newark. Calling hours will be held from 5pm-8pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:0am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 5757 St. Rt. 383, Somerset, Ohio with Father Stephen Carmody as celebrant. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery with graveside military services by John Tague Post #188, American Legion, New Lexington.
