It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Devon Hippo Tawkoyty announce the sudden passing on November 4th, 2024 at the age of 71 years of Age. Born August 6th, 1953 at the Lawton Indian Hospital his passing has left a void on the hearts of family and friends who knew him. Alan, a member of the Kiowa/Comanche Tribes of Oklahoma and a member of the Anadarko Oklahoma, area of Hogcreek USA. A member of Ware's chapel and raised by his grandmother, Vena Ware Komalty, he attended Anadarko Public Schools. Alan Hippo was an Avid sports fan. His love of sports, his love of softball was evident in his life. He played with numerous local softball teams in the position of catcher. He started with the family team Oklahoma bucks, local tribal teams, other Apache Trading Post, OK-Ks all stars and all nighters. This led to many tournaments, state and city, with victories and losses with outstanding player awards and achievements, these will not be forgotten by team members. A wake service is planned at Ware's Chapel, Hogcreek at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, funeral service Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend Mike Boyiddle officiating, with burial at Hogcreek Cemetery.
